Story
As the coronavirus pandemic spreads we are being advised to work from home, avoid large gatherings and self-isolate. But while home is widely considered the safest place to be for many, this is far from reality for victims of domestic abuse.
This means that not only will our work to support victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence increase but we are also working under the added pressure of receiving less resources.
We have been forced to stop all donations of food, clothing and toys and also cancel our planned fundraising events until further notice. This has put a huge strain on our reserves and has forced us to ask for your financial help through this page.
The money we raise will be used to buy food for our women and children as well as other essential items. We all have a very tough few months ahead of us and we know that we have the backing of an army of supporters out there. We are calling on you now to help us with however much you can spare and knowing that many other organisations are relying on your generosity.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all and we will continue with our regular updates through our Facebook Page and our Twitter feed. In the meantime we wish you all good health and hope that we will all pull through this really testing time.
