Organised by Ribaat OutreachWe are urgently raising funds to purchase and distribute iftar food packages to some of the poorest and most vulnerable families in Somalia who are in urgent need of assistance during the sacred month of Ramadan.
Last year Ribaat campaigned for the second annual Somalia Ramadan Appeal, providing essential foods to vulnerable families who were severely afflicted by the aftermath of the covid-19 pandemic. By the grace of Allah and the generosity of our dear supporters over the last 2 years, Ribaat successfully served over 300 families, distributing essential food packages to each and every single one of them. Due to the large success of this campaign, this year Ribaat would like to carry out the same task with greater achievements God willing.
This year we hope to acheive a goal of £5000 which will allow us to feed another 150 families.
Each food pack is worth $40 and contains: 10kg rice, 10kg flour, 10kg sugar, 3 litres of Oil and 2kg of dates.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, Whoever feeds a person breaking his or her fast will earn the same reward, without anything being lessened from the reward of the fasting person (Tirmidhi). Our beloved Prophet also informed us that charity does not decrease a person's wealth so we invite you to donate generously.
With your support our volunteers on the ground in Somalia will be able to reach those who need it most, even a little can go a surprisingly long way. Help us, help them in this sacred month of Ramadan.
