Story
Every day around 4,000 children die from drinking dirty, diseased water.
That's one child every 20 seconds.
Here in the developed world, we take clean water for granted we simply turn on the tap, and its there. But in many parts of the world, this is simply not an option.
Since our humble beginnings ten amazing years ago, Penny Appeal have installed over 20,000 water systems and wells, and provided clean drinking water to some of the poorest people in the world. Installation of each of these water wells has had a lasting impact on the lives of the families they benefit.
Penny Appeals Thirst Relief programme includes a range of clean water solutions for the communities we serve.
This means people can drink, wash, make wudu, grow crops and give their animals water to drink. A nearby well also means people do not have to spend hours walking to get water, freeing up their time to work, go to school or look after relatives.
All this adds up to healthier lives and a route out of poverty, for good.
Drinking dirty, diseased water is one of the most common causes of death in the developing world - and one of the most preventable so with your donation to our Walk for Water, you could be saving and transforming countless lives for years to come.
Donate now so we can provide clean, safe water and help save lives!
With a target of £300 each for our Mount Snowdon Walk for Water, our fundraisers will to build a range of water solutions across Asia and Africa, including rainwater harvesting systems, hand pump water wells, deep water wells, and latrines.
