Story
Our Vision is a world where children who are blind and partially sighted are able to realise their aspirations, achieve their maximum potential and reach their goals.
Our Children and Family Service provides practical advice, expert guidance and support to families from the moment a child is diagnosed, through each key stage of their development up until the age of 25.
We do this in a range of ways - from providing immediate and ongoing specialist advice and information over the telephone or in the home - to trips and activities for our younger visually impaired members and their families to come together, have fun, and realise their potential!
£5 will help subsidise a trip or activity for one visually impaired child.
£10 will help subsidise the coach to take our children and families to their trips and activities.
£20 will help subsidise a trip or activity for a visually impaired child and their family (for example two parents and a sibling).
Lizzie and Kye Holman (pictured below) have been members of our Children and Family service for a number of years. Lizzie says:
"The NAB trips help Kye to do activities with other children with a similar condition and brings families together that go through the same day-to-day struggles. We have a day of fun and seeing the smiles on the kids faces makes it so worthwhile. And the NAB staff make sure the kids get help through activities."
