Story
After the COVID disruption the boys are back on their bikes. They are returning to the Scottish Highlands to climb the infamous and epic Mt. Schiehallion as part of the Etape Caledonias gruelling route.
Tony Poole, Stuart Sinclair, Geoff Barnett, Simon Turner, Bob Brindle and Ed Pantling are riding this in memory of Steve Burne.
Steve campaigned tirelessly for The Ronald McDonald House Charity in Manchester and after a terminal cancer diagnosis set up The Steve Burne Charitable Trust so his family and friends could continue his work and raise vital funds for charities he held close to his heart.
In the last 12 months of his life Steve managed to raise over £400,000, all whilst undergoing gruelling treatment himself, for The Ronald McDonald House in Manchester. This charity provides 65 families each night with free accommodation so that parents and siblings can be close to their child whilst undergoing treatment at the Manchester Childrens Hospital. Steve raised money to provide 5 extra rooms at the house which were aptly named The Steve Burne Rooms and thankfully he got to see 3 of these completed and used before he passed away.
The Steve Burne Charitable Trust also supports The Christie Hospital and other local charities such as Cash for Kids.
If you are donating we really do appreciate the support and every penny goes to help these amazing charities.
