Rachael cycles the Etape Loch Ness

Organised by Saltmine Trust

On 22nd August I'm cycling 106km to raise £10K for Saltmine Trust. As Saltmine's CEO I understand personally the challenge we face at this unprecedented time. All money raised will fuel the heart of Saltmine and keep our invaluable work alive.

Saltmine Trust is a Christian charity and theatre company, inspired by the life and teaching of Jesus. We describe what we do as Faith Motivated Arts, because our faith inspires us to care for and value every human being. We are committed to inspire and impact people through the creative arts.

Story

Three years ago I started cycling as part of the Chawn Wheelettes a womens cycling group formed from Chawn Hill Church members and local community cyclists. Our usual routine is a weekly cycle on local country routes. I find the exercise, beautiful scenery and friendship an enriching time, especially when the sun shines!

The 100km Etape Loch Ness is a personal sponsored challenge in celebration of Saltmine's 40th anniversary; money raised will go towards our creative arts work and ministry.

I have set myself a £10,000 target to help Saltmine not just survive but champion and innovate the creative arts in this season.
