My husband started road cycling many years ago, and I eventually joined him after some persuasion about three years ago! We are part of our church (Chawn Hill Church) and wider community cycling group. The men are called Chawn Wheelers, and the ladies Chawn Wheelettes. Weather permitting, the Wheelettes go out every Saturday morning exploring local country routes between 35-60 km, with a café stop half-way. I find the exercise, beautiful countryside and friendship an enriching time, especially when the sun shines!
I have done a few organised local rides (50 km) but have gone for the 2020 Etape Loch Ness 100 km ride as a personal sponsored challenge in celebration of Saltmines 40th anniversary, towards our creative arts work and ministry.
A target of £10,000 has been set - £100 per kilometre - can you partner with me and cheer me on through a donation?
