Story

In 2008 Shahjalal Madrasa & Eatim Khana Trust became a registered charity in the UK and Alhamdullilah, through successful fundraising programmes and generous donations from the UK public we were able to grow and now provide education for approximately 1000 students from class 1 to Alim (degree) classes which includes Hifz-ul-Quran classes for poor and orphan boys and girls.

We have established five madrasas in the area, providing free education, food, and clothing to all students.

We also provide full board accommodation for students in the Hifz-ul-Qur'an schools, where approximately 500+ students are looked after on a daily basis, given breakfast, lunch and dinner at no cost, completely covered by the charity.

This is done throughout the entire year, both the students and the staff are fully accommodated and these costs can equal up to 1,000,000 Bangladeshi Taka (£9,500) per month.

We therefore humbly appeal to all our generous brothers and sisters to help continue support this worthwhile project which has only been established through the grace of Allah and your generous donations.

To assure you that your donations have been distributed we have been constantly documenting the work that has been completed and the projects that still require completion, you will be able to see in the documentary attached below, the construction of many buildings in an area that was once just barren land.

Through your donations you have changed the lives of thousands, for the foreseeable future.

We also have the testimony of our graduate students, who were once very poor, and needy children, and through your generous support and sponsorship were able to study and graduate from our educational facilities, and are now working at other schools across the country and able to provide for their families.

May Allah accept all your donations.

We humbly appeal to our brothers and sisters to continue supporting this charitable cause, to change the welfare, future and lives of the poor and orphan students in the following ways:

£500 - Sponsor 1 Poor/Orphan boy or girl to become Hafiz-ul-Qur'an

£250 - 1 Kear Land

£150 - Full title Jamat set
