Story
Olallo House, in central London, offers accommodation and specialist support to street homeless men and women. We support migrants, victims of modern-day slavery & trafficking, as well as street homeless people who have infectious diseases. We particularly focus on supporting those who are underserved, on the margins and have no recourse to public funds.
For over 10 years we've specialised in helping some of the most vulnerable people complete treatment for infectious diseases such as TB, HIV and Hep C and help them rebuild their lives.
Every day we walk alongside people to complete their treatment and rebuild their lives, addressing the complex mental health issues that so often sit alongside physical conditions. Some of the people we've supported tell us that they haven't continued treatment in other care settings, however, they have not missed a day during their stay at Olallo. A stable setting and place of hospitality helps achieve better health outcomes.
We recognise that the whole person needs support and offer advice, skills training and employment support and we have a highly skilled and multi-lingual staff team able to communicate in a wide range of languages. Our holistic focus, encompassing the whole person, has been recognised as an exemplar for supporting people in this situation.
To be part of Olallo, please donate what you can so that we can continue to provide this life changing service.
Who are SJOG Hospitaller Services?
At SJOG our purpose is the relief of poverty, sickness, old age, distress and disabled people in our society. In the UK we approach this through delivering targeted services to meet the needs of people with learning disabilities, complex physical impairments, older communities, as well as the social and health care needs of people who are homeless, and people who have been subject of modern-day slavery or trafficking.
