Story
This year we've seen the cost of living crisis go from bad to worse. Food prices have jumped massively, energy bills are more than doubling, and transport and housing costs are on the rise. Whilst many of us have needed to make difficult budget choices, some people in our communities are increasingly being pushed into real crisis, struggling to heat their homes and put food on the table, so are getting into serious debt or having to go without.
Salford's network of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations have seen a huge increase in demand for their services recently - from welfare rights and debt advice through to food clubs.
So, in response, organisations across the city have now come together under the Spirit of Salford banner in order to be able to better support local residents and we now need YOUR HELP!
The Salford4Good cost of living appeal has been set up to raise funds for local frontline charities and community groups so that they in turn can carry on supporting Salford residents, whether its by providing food, helping keep homes warm, looking after children, giving advice and guidance, and so on.
We know times are tough, but your donation - no matter how big or small - will help us make a real difference.
