Story
For over 30 years members of Rotherham Round Table and Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club have made a special delivery of Christmas spirit by taking Santa out round the streets of Rotherham to see delighted boys and girls- and excited grown-ups too!
The sight and sound of the sleigh playing Christmas music has been enjoyed by generations of kids growing up in the town and established itself as a much-loved Christmas tradition.
Proceeds from our Santa Sleigh runs go towards supporting a wealth of different charities, community groups and good causes in Rotherham every year.
The sleigh is run entirely by volunteers, many of whom grew up enjoying Santa's annual appearance, and they are keen to keep the tradition going.
We continue to rely on generous donations from the Rotherham public and accept cash as well as online donations . Our chosen beneficiary charities include Rotherham Cancer Care, and Start a Heart 24/7, to name just two. In the past year we have supported Shiloh, a charity for homeless people as well as many others including the Rotherham United Community Sports Trust.
Only last month, Rotherham Round Table funded the start -up costs for a Senior Social Club which will act as a 'warm space' during the winter.
We once again ask you to dig deep and support our work in the local area. Remember, every pound you give - with Gift Aid added if you can - will help to improve the life of someone in our town possibly less fortunate than you.
Many thanks
