Story

For one night only Crossroads Care Richmond & Kingston Upon Thames have joined forces with 16 local musicians to put on a live show from their homes and raise money for the charity.

All monies raised will go towards continuing to help the vulnerable and those financially affected within the Richmond Borough by the COVID-19 outbreak currently rocking the nation.

Over the past four weeks, our 30 Regulated Key Volunteers have completed over 500 requested trips to supermarkets, hospitals, homes and pharmacies. Amongst all the running around we have also managed set up a Food Bank* for those financially affected by the COVID-19 outbreak; those at risk and vulnerable; the elderly, as well as children and adults with additional needs.

The volunteers assistance is helping to ensure that our core team of Regulated Care Support Workers can concentrate solely on our contractual social and health care contracts and current clients.

Crossroads Care Richmond and Kingston upon Thames was established in 1987. We are affiliated to the national network of Carers Trust and are the leading local provider of support for carers and the people they care for.

We work with carers and their families, helping carers to make a life of their own outside caring. We provide the special quality of care that gives them the peace of mind to let someone else step into their shoes.

Our core service is the provision of home-based respite care with our skilled and dedicated care-staff taking over the role of caring for a few hours whist the carer takes a break. Our community based projects include a Saturday Club for children with special needs, giving parent-carers weekend respite. Our Time Out project for Young Carers with special needs is an innovative and new project. The Caring Café for people affected by dementia in partnership in with the Alzheimers Society South West Branch supports both carers and people with care needs.
