Story

Hi, I'm Rob! You may recognise me off the telly I've been on Channel 4s Secret Millionaire and ITVs Real Housewives of Cheshire.

What you may not know about me is that I'm also a big supporter of the charity Sense.

Over the last couple of years, I've been in a battle with cancer, and it has made me really think about what more I can do with my life. How I can give back more? In March 2021 I decided to take on 12 months of ambitious and exciting challenges to raise money for Sense my Sense-less Challenge! Since then, I have wanted to do even more and so have extended my challenges for another year!

The first 12 months have been exciting, tough, and at times utterly terrifying. I have been pushing boundaries and going far outside my comfort zone with 26 challenges completed including; a 10,000ft skydive, running the London Marathon, a wing walk, cycling around 379 miles Wales during wild winter storms, riding a racehorse, the UK Three Peaks, and brutal SAS training camps. I am pushing myself every week to support Sense (And all of this on top of a busy day job and having a family!).

BUT, I'm only halfway through I have plenty more planned!

The reason I'm supporting Sense is because of their incredible work with families and children with complex disabilities across the country.

I heard about siblings, four-year-old Mia and three-year-old Charlie. They were both born blind, unlikely to ever walk or speak. The news was devastating for their parents, Andrew and Nikki, but through the support of the Sense Family Centre in Peterborough, they found hope, learning how to engage with their children and experience new activities, together as a family.

The money that we raise through the Sense-less Challenge will help Sense to support more families.

Thank you for the support.

Rob
