Story

Radio Cavell provides the free to air radio service in the Royal Oldham Hospital where we have been providing news, music, sport and entertainment since 1952.

The last few years have resulted in so many changes for everyone and Cavell has continued to broadcast throughout. Using new methods and ideas to connect with our listeners in hospital and isolated from their families and friends.

What it has also shown is we need to modernise our studios and broadcast equipment to meet the new challenges we face going forward.

Run solely by volunteers and funded by donations we are asking all of you to spare a little cash if you can to help us provide the service hopefully for the next 70 years.

Just £10 provides the funding for 24 hours of broadcasting so please do what you can to help.
