This page is for ALL fundraising events in 2022/2023 such as the Harvest Festival, Christmas Carol Service and Run 4 Rusuzumiro and includes offline donations from cake sales etc. You can also do your own fundraising by creating your own campaign - every penny will go towards the two projects listed below: -

i) Rusuzumiro School Perimeter Fence Project approx. cost - £6,000

Rusuzumiro School has made a start building the perimeter fence (see below) but they need our help as it's 500m long!

Head Teacher, Martin Sindikubwabo, is very keen to finish the perimeter fence as the school has unfortunately suffered a few recent break-ins. Martin wants to secure all the valuable resources kept at school such as food for school lunches, drinking water, computers and books, as well as safeguard students and teachers.

ii) Health Card Project (July 2023 - June 2024) approx. cost - £1,000

Barnes Primary has proudly purchased Health Insurance Cards for approx. 350 people from low-income families for the last five consecutive years. Cards cost approx. £3 per person and provide access to vital primary healthcare services for one year. This gift is literally a life saver and we would like to continue to support this project, if at all possible.

TOTAL 2022/2023 Fundraising Target - £7,000

Rusuzumiro School recently received a Certificate of Merit and Head Teacher, Martin said,
