Story

Welcome to Birmingham Animal Centre. This purpose built animal welfare centre has the capacity to house 160 cats and 60 dogs plus a unit that houses rabbits and other small animals all looking for new homes.

Our team of 22 staff supported by over 40 volunteers, provides a safe place for the care of animals rescued from neglect and cruelty.

Some have suffered so much abuse that it takes our dedicated team weeks, if not months, to get the animals to trust humans again.

The RSPCA built this new centre, officially opened by HRH the Duke of Gloucester in 2013, to provide the best possible second start for animals that have been rescued by our inspectors.
