Ronald McDonald House Bristol is a small independent charity providing free home from home accommodation to families with children receiving care at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. They opened in 2002 and since then have helped over 8,600 families and counting in their 21 bedroom house. They are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and have a 300 mile referral radius covering the whole of the South West and South Wales as well as occasionally helping families from even farther afield.

The charity is fully funded by donations and fundraising and it costs the charity £35 per room per night just to keep their doors open to the families that need their help.
