Like many of us, the children and families at Richard House have been through a lot in the past few years coming through the Covid-19 pandemic and still coping with the impact Covid continues to bring to our daily lives. Now, we are faced with the cost of living crisis. 80% of the children and families at Richard House come from the poorest boroughs in East London and are very concerned about being able to pay their essential bills. This crisis has already been heavily impacting these families across the winter as they struggle to afford to heat their homes.

We at Richard House would like to encourage you this January to Give Up A Drink and donate its cost to help the children and their families through this crisis. If you're doing Dry January, could you donate the cost of a pint or cocktail? Or give up a cup of hot coffee or chocolate and donate it instead?

By funding the hospice, you can provide a space for families to visit and spend time meaning they can reduce living costs at home whilst having fun and meaningful experiences together.
