Ride for Rhinos is a unique safari on horseback that takes place annually in the Waterberg, South Africa. The purpose is to raise funds for rhino conservation and community support for the region, by helping to bring opportunity and economic benefit. The Waterberg is one of the last bastions of rhino on the planet and so needs all our support to ensure that these magnificent animals have a future.
There are 12 places on the Ride which starts at Ant's Nest safari lodge before setting out across the stunning landscape of the Waterberg. Over the week , riders will ride with rhino, canter with giraffe, swim with their horse, camp under the stars and make friends for life. It truly is an adventure of a lifetime that requires determination, a level of fitness and a sense of humour to make the distance of 250km, 6-7 hours a day in the saddle.
Please support the riders on their quest. Each is paying all their costs so every penny raised goes directly to the charity. We work directly with organisations and individuals in the region so we can ensure that the funds are utilised with the most effectiveness. With your support we are all playing our part in securing the rhino's survival while enhancing the lives of the community on which the success of conservation rests.
