Say (O Muhammad): Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the Alamin (mankind, jinn, and all that exists). [Surah Al Anaam (6:162]
This year the need for your Qurbani is greater ever. Worldwide inflation, extreme poverty, conflicts, famine and additional influencing factors such as natural disasters, mean countless people across the globe are struggling to survive and desperate to ensure a meal.
Currently 1 in 9 people across the globe are suffering from extreme hunger. For them this may be the only opportunity throughout the entire year to access nutritious meat. By giving your Qurbani you can help ensure their protection whilst gaining limitless rewards.
Your sacrifice is their hope this Eid.
1 Share = 1 Qurbani
1 Small Animal = 1 Qurbani
1 Large Animal = 7 Qurbani
There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days. (Bukhari)
The sacred month, Dhul Hijjah, holds great significance in Islam. The initial 10 days occurring in this month are bountiful and filled with endless rewards.
In this period the Muslim Ummah comes together to perform Hajj, give Qurbani & celebrate Eid-Ul-Adha, in addition to performing other acts of worship such as giving charity & fasting.
Qurbani / Udhiyah is the religious sacrifice of sheep, goats and cattle on the days of Eid Ul Adha. It is a commemoration of the ultimate sacrifice that Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail (as) were prepared to make out of unconditional love, faith and devotion to Allah (swt).
The Prophet Mohammed (saw), also participated in giving Qurbani. As a result each year Muslims across the globe partake in the religious obligation during the days of Eid-Ul-Adha in the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah.
The giving of a sacrifice is truly a gracious act with limitless rewards. It provides sustenance to those in need whilst creating unity within the Ummah. It also teaches patience and submission to the divine will off Allah swt.
Verily Allah swt. Is the best of planners.
When the Messenger (PBUH) was asked what Qurbani is, he answered, It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim. For every hair of the Qurbani you receive a reward from Allah. (Al-Tirmidhi)
By Giving your Qurbani this Eid you can spread the joy and reap infinite rewards whilst aiding those in urgent need across the globe.
In the Islamic lunar calendar, Eid-Ul-Adha falls on the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah and lasts four days. The offering of a sacrifice begins after Eid prayers and concludes at the time of sunset on the 13th of Dhul Hijjah.
In accordance to many scholars Qurbani is a religious obligation upon every sane adult Muslim male/female whose wealth reaches the Zakat threshold.
By giving your Qurbani you are fulfilling your religious duty and providing nutritious food to those suffering from poverty in different parts of the world.
The messenger of Allah (saw) actively gave Qurbani for both himself and on behalf of the Ummah. Giving a second Qurbani not only extends the joy of Eid but also helps reach more people in need.
You can revive this Sunnah and provide extra Qurbani sacrifices on behalf of the Ummah or in honour of your deceased loved ones.
For millions of impoverished people worldwide, nutritious meat is often an unaffordable luxury. By giving your Qurbani you are ensuring they have plentiful food and do not go hungry on the blessed days of Eid-Ul-Adha.
Allah SWT mentions in the Quraan:
Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that to which He has guided you; give good tidings to the doers of good. [Surah Al-Hajj (22:37) ]
