Story

Professor John Skinnon was a long-standing and beloved member of the Accounting department at St. Josephs. When he passed away on July 28, 2019, he served as the Chair of the Department of Accounting and an Assistant Professor on the Patchogue campus. John was also the co-founder of Skinnon and Faber, CPAs, P.C. This scholarship fund was established in his memory to benefit an undergraduate SJC Long Island accounting major, who is enrolled in the MBA in Accounting or MA of Accounting programs. The student must have demonstrated academic achievement and show dedication to the profession of accounting and is required to submit an application with a short essay, as determined by the accounting faculty.
