Proud and Loud Arts is a charity local to Salford. We work with disabled people from across Greater Manchester. Our weekly sessions provide a vital lifeline for people with disabilities by offering a safe space to build friendships, self-esteem and communication skills through drama and performance.
We get to try new challenges, meet and socialise with our friends. At this moment because of Covid -19 that is not possible and means we're all by ourselves unless we can meet digitally. Kelly Hoye - Member and Trustee
The Coronavirus pandemic has brought our face-to-face group sessions to a halt as we observe government guidance on social distancing for the most vulnerable. However, the need for our group sessions to move online is acute. Demand for 1-2-1 support is at an all-time high. To meet this soaring demand to keep disabled people Connected, Happy and Healthy we need your HELP .
As a small charity we rely on the ongoing support from individuals, local businesses and charitable trusts. Each year we have a group people who challenge themselves to run, swim or cycle great distances to raise vital funds for us. This year we need to find new challenges to encourage as many people as possible to support us to keep disabled people Connected to community, Happy in their hearts and Healthy in mind and body.
