Story

LENS CAMPAIGN

Len Shimmon and his wife Glenda, who live in South Wales adopted an Amicii dog in April 2020 and called her Romy.

Len has offered to raise money for Amicii by doing a 60 km trek of the Pembrokeshire Coast over 3 days with Romy along with Glenda supporting them by way of transport and nourishment etc. A family affair!

Here's the itinerary of the trek

DAY 1 19TH May 2023 -Sandy Haven to Westdale Bay 19 kms (11.75 miles).

DAY 2 20TH May 2023 Westdale Bay to Little Haven 23.5kms (14.75 miles),

DAY 3 21st May 2023 Little Haven to Solva 18kms (11.25 miles)

About Romy

Romy has the most loving and caring nature. Over weekends She spends many hours trekking, with Len, in the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains. Romy has plenty stamina and loves the outdoors and her long distance walks. Once she reaches home after a long walk, its harness off and straight to bed to get some well deserved and necessary rest.

About Len

Len is South African by origin and now lives in Caerwent, South Wales. He started trekking in 1984 in South Africa and has enjoyed the outdoors ever since, with many memorable outings. Len has raised money for charities previously and is looking forward to raising money for Amicii

Here is a photo of them enjoying a lunch break in the Brecon Beacons.

The campaign target is set at £400 and it would be wonderful if Len could raise more.

As you know Amicii is struggling finance wise and we need money to look after our precious dogs, so please make a kind donation. You can also raise more money by completing a GIFT AID form. Please copy and paste the link into your browser.
