Story
A high proportion of the funds we need for our ongoing airframe restoration and maintenance works, come from donations and admission fees for our open cockpit visits at the museum.
However, in these challenging times these funds do not always cover the cost of everything that we aim to do in looking after the exhibits.
Please check out our fund raising campaign to help raise the funds required for this vital restoration work on our valuable exhibits.
We aim to raise £5,000 before Easter 2023 and we need your help to achieve this target.
The following projects are currently underway and in need of continued financial support:
Completion of the repairs to the Vulcan engine exhaust pipes
Refitting the nose wheel to the Ashton fuselage
Panelling up & completion of the Harvard
Refurbishment of the Hastings access steps
Application of fabric & paint to the Clutton FRED
Continuation of the in-depth work on the Puma & Chinook helicopters
Refurbishment of a recently donated access platform for future restoration projects
Corrosion treatment on the Shackleton main undercarriage structures
Reassembly of the Mooney
Given sufficient funds fresh repainting projects that may start include the Meteor T.7 and Hunter T.7
Any contribution would be really appreciated.
