After a long winter we could all do with a burst of colour and beauty, and the first displays of spring blossom are a reminder of just how much we need nature in our everyday lives. So spring into action and join the challenge to help the National Trust plant more trees. Every donation of £5 will plant one new sapling and help grow the woodland of the future for people and wildlife to enjoy. Join the challenge on Strava and complete 5 hours of indoor or outdoor activities over 3 weeks this March.
Trees provide homes for wildlife, reduce flooding and clean our air. Yet today the UK is the least wooded country in Europe. You can bring our trees back by helping to raise £100,000 which will plant 20,000 more trees and get us ever closer to the goal of planting 20 million by 2030 - a pledge the National Trust made at the start of 2020. Trees breathe life into the world, and it's vital to plan for the future of woodlands to tackle climate change.
The National Trust was founded on the belief that all people have an essential need for nature, beauty and history. As the first spring blossoms are starting to appear we're reminded how precious nature is. Nature has been our sanctuary over the last year, and together we can continue to protect it in its time of need.
Every donation of £5 will plant a tree, and any amount you give will help make a greener, more welcoming world that will continue to enrich our lives, and the lives of future generations . Thank you.
