Story
We are releasing a pattern each week starting from 16 November on the Mystery Knit-Along Facebook Group. Below you will find a list of what you need to get started, and in 4 weeks youll have created a Mystery Knit that you can keep or gift this Christmas.
Why not also make a voluntary donation to this page? We suggest giving £20 - this could fund a Macmillan support worker for an hour. They act as a single point of contact helping people living with cancer, their relatives and carers get the support they need.
Join the Facebook community of fellow yarn lovers and share your knits, swap tips and have a natter from the comfort of your sofa.

What knitting supplies do I need?
The pattern will be written for knitting flat or in the round, so you can choose the method youre most comfortable with.
Needles: For knitting in the round, you'll need 3.5mm and 4mm circular needles, and 40cm and 4mm doubled pointed needles. For knitting in the flat, you'll need 3.5mm and 4mm straight needles.
Yarn: You'll need approximately 2 balls of yarn. We recommend a wool or acrylic blend yarn in DK (double knit) weight. Most DK yarns will be suitable so you can use your stash.
The pattern is written for 4 colours, but you can use 1 to 12 colours depending on how adventurous you're feeling. Youll need a minimum of 2 colours to create the colourwork. If you find colourwork a little daunting, you can complete the project in just use one colour.
We recommend 1 full ball (50g) for the main colour and smaller amounts of approximately 20-30g (or half a ball) for the other colours.
Notions: 6 stitchmarkers (these are easy to make yourself out of contrasting wool), tapestry needle.
Optional: pompom maker 5-7cm diameter
Can you guess what it is yet?
Thank you for your support..
