Story
Give #MoreThanAGift and support children like Sadie.
This Christmas, we know that ensuring your family wakes up warm, has food on the table and gifts under the tree will be on everyone's mind.
Our families caring for a child with heart disease are no different, except coupled with the already unprecedented cost of living is the fact that many will also be dealing with the additional financial pressures of travelling outside of NI for surgery or treatment, ongoing hospital stays or worrying about how to heat the home for their vulnerable baby.
Most families caring for a child in hospital lose around £540 per week in pay. This huge financial strain has a negative impact on their physical and mental wellbeing, putting additional emotional stress on an already challenging experience of coping with an ill child.
£10 could help provide a gift this Christmas for a child living with heart disease
£20 could provide food for a family caring for a child living with CHD this festive season
£50 could support a family with the financial stress of their child travelling for life- saving surgery over Christmas
There are more than 200 children, like Sadie, born with congenital disease each year in Northern Ireland.
Our mission is to support these children, young people, and their families.
If you can, please donate to our #MoreThanAGift appeal this Christmas. Any gift, no matter how small will help make a difference.
