We welcome you to Markaz Al-Furqaan and Education Centre. Our Vision is to empower the Ummah to strive for Academic and Islamic excellence. We will endeavour to provide a community based centre building bridges and striving to create partnerships within the wider community, establishing long lasting relationships providing a platform for dialogue and reform within the community. Our aim is to Educate, Create and Develop outstanding leaders.

Markaz Al-Furqaan and Al-Furqaan Education Centre was previously a Methodist Church along with a Sunday School.

After major competition for these buildings in Ramadhan 2011, we were fortunate enough to be offered the buildings as our long term project was appreciated by many individuals and other organisations, Alhamdulillah.

We had 6 weeks to raise £321,000. Alhamdulillah we managed to raise this amount in the given time but most of it was Qardha Hasanah of which £170,000 is still outstanding

*Aims & objectives*

- The first full and part time Tahfeedhul Qur'an institute specialising in Qiraa'ah, in the UK for all ages (male & female)

-Specialising in Arabic language

- Structured Islamic courses including Hadeeth, Shari'ah, Aqeedah & Fiqh.

- 5 times Salah

- Weekly Jumu'ah in Urdu, English and Arabic

- Weekly Tafseer Ul Qur'an

- Recreational activities and other activities for our youth.

- Weekend homework clubs

In sha Allah we aim to provide all-round facilities for the community as we are lacking a quality all-purpose institute that is dedicated to striving for excellence.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "A servant of God will remain standing on the Day of Judgment until he is questioned about his (time on earth) and how he used it; about his knowledge and how he utilised it; about his wealth and from where he acquired it and in what (activities) he spent it; and about his body and how he used it." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 148

*MASJID PROJECT UPDATE*

The long term project is Phase 3 which includes a complete reconstruction of the car park along with recreation centre and new madrassah building.

The new project will include an all purpose building designed for recreation, community work, conference hall, library, facilities for janazah including a mortuary and much more In sha Allah.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise. [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]
