Located at 125 Beresford Road, Manchester, M13 0TA, Makki Masjid was established in 1989 with the objective of promoting the pure monotheistic message of Islam in accordance with the Qur'an, the authentic Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad and as it was followed by the pious predecessors after him.

Since its foundation the Masjid has undoubtedly become an invaluable centre of worship and activity, with an important role in uniting and serving the community.

To help us meet the changing needs of the community and its new generations, our vision to create a brand-new, modern purpose-built Masjid was launched in 2007.

At present, Makki Masjid is currently in the final, but most expensive, phase of its ambitious and visionary Building Project to create a purpose built Masjid at the heart of the Muslim community in South Manchester. Our total outstanding costs are approximately £500,000 for the final phase of external & internal works as well as the final finishings.

By the permission of Allah, we hope to complete the work by the end of Summer 2025. but to achieve this, we require your help to support this project that will serve the needs of everyone in the community, of all age groups, of all ethnicities, from all walks of life, for generations to come biithnillah, thus providing you with the perfect opportunity to attain sadaqah jaariyah Insha'Allah.
