Visit the charity's profileIn 2019, John Lewis Reading hosted a fashion show for My Cancer My Choices. The 10 models, who had all used our complementary therapy service, were styled by John Lewis and strutted their stuff on the catwalk in front of an amazing audience of friends and family. We were so excited by the evening because it represented what the charity does: supporting people to live well, with and beyond a cancer diagnosis.
We are thrilled that John Lewis hosted the event for us again this September! 10 courageous models took to the catwalk in this uplifting and unforgettable evening. Martyn, one of the models this year said:
You dont realise the struggle of your journey when you are in it, but when you see and hear someone elses journey with cancer it hits home what you have been through. Thats why supportive events like this are so important. Its been incredible meeting the other models. We have all at some point lost our confidence or our joy whilst weve been unwell, so seeing them skip down a catwalk is just incredibly emotional and joyous.
