Lynne Mackie, 04/07/1991 - 05/12/2021, was a young woman with a stammer who inspired, supported and enthused all those around her in the UK and around the world.
Her positive attitude towards her own stammer, her analytical dissection of people's attitudes around stammering and her wit made her a force of nature. She loved drama, she had her own YouTube channel, StammerOn. She attended national and international meetings and events with people who stammer/stutter and changed their lives with her wisdom, positivity and personality.
She will be sorely missed, particularly within the stammering community.
STAMMA, Stamily, and the Scottish Stammering Network, three organisations she took an active part in, have agreed to set up a fund in her name, using this appeal. We'll use the fund to support young people who stammer in arts and theatre.
