Our latest little rescue pony needs your help! Neglected and Abandoned, the little pony rescued on the 6th October needs a lot of rehab and treatments to bring her back to full health. Help us towards her ongoing treatments and care!
Crosskennan's latest rescue is a little pony with the heart of a lion. Neglected and abandoned, she was found by a member of the public who contacted the sanctuary. We rescued her on the evening of the 6th of October 2018. Her feet were so long they were curling up and made walking very difficult.
Immediately on arrival at the sanctuary this beautiful little pony perked up, calling across the paddock towards a curious Sorely. We truly believe she regconised that she was now safe.
We were unsure of just how much damage had been done to her feet, or how much pain she was in. Unfortunately all we could do that first evening was get a good meal in her belly, and bed her down for the night on her deep litter bed to reduce the pressure on her feet.
On Sunday she was visited by our local vet and received IV pain relief whilst awaiting an x-ray of her feet on the Monday to see exactly what can be done. Throughout she was a paitent little lady, happy to have us work around her.
She is now looking much better having had her feet trimmed but it is an ongoing job of rehabilitating this pretty little girl. Can you help towards her ongoing care and treatments? She is going to require specialist vet dental surgery to correct some of her teeth.
