I'm delighted to share that we're naming a room in honor of LemonAid to thank the entire community for its support of this wonderful charity event that is all about kids helping kids! - Peggy LaFleur, Executive Director, OPRF Infant Welfare Society
All gifts in support of OPRF Infant Welfare Society will be matched dollar-for-dollar and help us build a new IWS Children's Clinic - increasing access to healthcare for kids in need!
At the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society's Children's Clinic, we take a holistic approach to pediatric primary care services, helping publicly-insured and uninsured children grow-up healthier, stronger and more resilient. Each year we treat more than 3,500 children, birth through age 18, with integrated medical, dental and behavioral healthcare, as well as other programming. In the wake of COVID-19 and its continued economic strain, more families are seeking our care, and their children often have more intense needs due to delayed treatment and pandemic-related stress on top of other challenges.
You and LemonAid will build a new, much larger IWS Children's Clinic at 28 Madison in Oak Park! This space will increase our capacity for our core services, and make room for new programming to expand our definition of treating the whole child. In time, we will introduce maternal health care and other services, as an extension of our family-centered care.
We are excited to share that we are 83% of the way to our $4M goal to build our new facility that will help so many more children! All donations to LemonAid will support this project and be matched dollar-for-dollar by a generous donor! Thank you for helping us Achieve The Dream by supporting 2021 LemonAid!
