Nigeria is in the bottom quartile of the UN Human-Development Index and is the worlds third worst-ranking country for access to sanitation. The States where our projects are located have average annual salaries of just £140. TASTE during our work still come across far too many communities which have no reliable drinkable water, except and many of the wells that exist are in poor states of repair, drying up during dry seasons and becoming contaminated during rainy seasons. The contamination of wells, rivers and other water courses creates ongoing health-hazards, local doctors say 65% of all local health problems are linked to drinking dirty water.
