Story
We are thrilled to be able to welcome the friends and families of our wonderful donors to St George's Cathedral this year but appreciate not everyone is able to travel. Having received such positive feedback regarding the virtual service last year, has made us realise how important it is for everyone to have the opportunity to be a part of the service, even if only virtually, so we will be recording it for broadcast again this year. It is important for you to know that we never forget about you and the sacrifice you made when offering your loved one for donation. Once again, it has been emotional for us to see the photographs of our donors, which we would not normally see and are grateful to you for sharing their photograph.
At the end of our service, we ask if people would like to support our work through financial donation and offering plates are present. This page gives people the opportunity to donate should they wish to. Of course, there is no obligation, but we are very grateful to anyone who feels that they would like to or are able to donate. If you are, thank you.
The Service of Thanksgiving is a very important part of donation and we have had it said that friends and families feel comforted being in the same space as others who have been through the same experience. Our work is a privilege, something we never take for granted.
Take care and keep safe.
With very best wishes.
