Story

Khoboso, a Nurse Practitioner on Frailty shares why this charity appeal is very special to her.

International and local media has recently been reporting that Kenya and the Horn of Africa is facing the worst drought in 40 years due to failed seasonal rains.

Khoboso says: When I am not at work I am out in the community to make a difference in every small way I can through a registered charity that we run with other volunteers. Our gratitude goes to many well-wishers who supported us in what we do over the years".

"My home village of Kargi in Kenya where I was born and brought up is part of this affected region where people are facing a serious threat of food and water shortages".

"The severe dry spell has led to death of so many livestock that families are facing starvation because livestock has always been their main source of income and food. Our Charity is planning to buy some food packages and distribute to the most affected families in Kargi village sometime between end of November and early December this year.

£50 can feed a family for a month

Thank you so much for your kind donations in advance.
