Story

Every 3 minutes someone in the UK develops dementia. More plentiful residential care will be needed as numbers are rising. We want to contribute to the provision of care by building an eco dementia village called The Josie Home.

We have 3 goals for The Josie Home:

1. It will encourage residents to live life as well and as normally as possible in a safe village environment

2. It will be a sustainable development with a minimal carbon footprint, a strong ethos of careful use and reuse of resources and some self sufficiency

3. It will involve the local community and actively promote dementia friendly attitudes so that people with dementia feel included in society.

This is a big and beautiful idea and we need your support to make it a reality, firstly by acquiring a small plot of land.

The Josie Home could be the shape of dementia care for the future - life enhancing, sustainable, exemplary - and you could be one of its pioneering donors.
