John Prine Tribute for QUB COVID-19 Research

When John Prine lost his fight against COVID-19 in April 2020, music fans around the world were bereft at the passing of a great song-writing genius. This tribute is to help fundraising efforts for COVID-19 research at Queen's University Belfast.

Story

John Prine, whilst not a household name in terms of commercial American Folk/Country music, was one of the most iconic singer songwriters of our time. He succumbed to Coronavirus in April 2020 and this is a tribute to his life and songs.

The musical legacy of the former postman from Illinois will endure for generations in the beautiful simplicity of songs like Sam Stone, Lake Marie and Paradise.

On 27th March 2021 we celebrate that legacy in the company of Illegal Smile, Irelands foremost interpreters of Prines work featuring; Barry Johnston, Davy Neill, Michael Conway, Sam Davidson and Ali Mooney.

Please give what you can to COVID-19 Research at Queens University Belfast and lets look forward to better times in the future. Thank you.

This will be a live streamed performance that you will be able to view online - subject to public health regulations - for more info visit https://cqaf.com/
