Since we first launched our Jingle Bag appeal in 2017 we've given out over 1350 jingle bags and supported partner organisations to provide jingle bags to more than 300 of their families who need our support.
Not everyone looks forward to Christmas and it can be a particularly hard time of year for those who are struggling to feed themselves and their families. This year brings its own unique set of challenges and rising costs of living mean families are facing impossible decisions.
We know that it has been a difficult year for many and it may not be possible for you to donate. Remember if you need support get in touch, you can email us on info@eastlothian.foodbank.org.uk
Thank you if you are able to take part and please remember we are grateful for any size of donation. All donations will go towards purchasing items for our Jingle Bags, those were short of or those wee extra Christmas treats we all enjoy.
Our Jingle Bags contain everything needed to celebrate Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Everyone who is referred for a food parcel in the run up to Christmas will receive a Jingle Bag in addition to their standard 3-day emergency food parcel.
