In May 2019, our lives changed dramatically when my wife, Darci, was diagnosed with breast cancer. We embarked down a path that so many families have unfortunately had to experience of surgery and over a year of subsequent treatments with many more questions than answers, especially with two young children at home who couldn't really comprehend what mom was going through. We were fortunate enough to be introduced to Wellness House which through its various programs gave us the ability to meet some amazing people and take part in a multitude of different activities that were very beneficial to our family during this difficult time.

With Darci being fully recovered and doing well, I'm running the Chicago Marathon this year for the second time and fundraising to give back to an organization that has done so much for us and continues to do so much for others in Wellness House.
