The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileThe Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary has suffered quite significant dame after storm Arwen. Three of our field shelters were completely lifted by the wind, turned over and fell in various locations. During this some of our fencing also received damage. It is still unclear whether we will be able to salvage any of the field shelters or repair them, as some are in better condition than others, and one of them is completely in pieces. We are still unsure of the total this damage will cost the sanctuary, but expect it to be quite a large number.
We were overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of everyone after hearing this news. We received many offers of physical help and people wishing to donate some money to help us fund these repairs. Many asked if a fundraising page was going to be set up, so this campaign has been set up for those that wish to donate some money towards the repair/replacement of these field shelters that were damaged.
We appreciate every donation that we receive and we would not be able to continue doing what we do without all of our supporters kindness and generosity.
