Story

Please join us on Zoom on Monday 27th September, 2021 at 1900 to 2100 for the IMET2000 Autumn Extravaganza, one of our two most important fundraising events of the year. We are determined as usual to provide a fun, uplifting and inspirational evening as counterpunch to these difficult times. Already recruited are top comedians (including Mark Thomas and friends), conversations between Ken Loach, Farah Nabulsi and Jon Snow and wonderful musicians from the Middle East and Africa. You will also hear from child victims of war and frontline workers talking from Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Syria, Yemen, Uganda and Ghana about their urgent needs.

We will be raising funds for three main programmes: (a) advanced training in critical care of COVID-19 infected patients for nurses, doctors and allied professionals particularly in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria and Uganda; (b) essential equipment for our IMET2000 Trauma Unit in Ramallah and the Advanced Trauma and Life Support (ATLS) and the Basic Life Support courses we run out of there; and (c) a comprehensive programme of treatment for child mental health including art and music therapy which IMET2000 runs (often in partnership with other NGOs) in the Middle East, Tibet refugee camps in India, and in Uganda and Ghana.

Your support of our event would be much appreciated and allow us to expand our portfolio of projects to meet ever-increasing demands. To confirm your attendance and to obtain the zoom joining link you must email info@imet2000.org
