Story
When POPPY had surgery in February they found severe inflammation of her intestines and stomach so took biopsies. The results showed she has IBD (Irritable Bowel Disease), which is in the stomach and small intestine hence a lot more sickness and regurgitation than diarrhoea (more common with large intestine issues eg Crohn's).
IBD is a long term problem - a chronic illness.
Her food was changed to rice and meat only. She did well for a little while but started vomiting again so had a third course of antibiotics along with steroids. She has done well on them and has continued to do so.
After a fair bit of research and trying different things which has been trial and error, She still has bouts of sickness and diarrhoea but much less often and she has gained a little weight. She currently eats small meals 4 or 5 times a day in a slow feeder bowl and can only seem to manage well cooked rice with added meat, flavouring and porridge with CURCUMIN. She has liquidised food more or less to ensure smooth motility through the gut. She has probiotics in her food for life, OMEPRAZOLE, vitamins and other things to help keep her healthy.
We really need money to buy all the necessary medications, vitamins and food additives to keep POPPY as well as possible. REMEMBER THIS IS A LONG TERM PROBLEM A CHRONIC ILLNESS!
