We need your help!

2023 is the 40th anniversary of Hastings Traditional Jack in the Green and we want to make the event extra special to mark this achievement!

We will have special 40th decorations, banners, and activities around the town and throughout the weekend. We're even hoping to raise money for a permanent door plaque to mark the occasion!

We are planning an exhibition to celebrate the importance that Hastings Jack in the Green has in Hastings, the UK and the world! Our little tradition was revived in 1983 and now attracts over 20,000 people on the Monday alone and is officially the largest Jack in the Green tradition of its type in the UK (and probably the world!) Since our revival many other Jacks have been born in part thanks to what we do.

As a registered charity, HJITG is funded by public donations, trusts/grants and our volunteer lead committee has ambitious plans for the 40th anniversary.

Any help to reach our goals would be greatly appreciated, if you cant afford to help financially as we know money is tight right now, how about helping with your time over the weekend?
