Story

HERstay will provide accommodation for 16 to 24 year old girls who are pregnant, at risk of homelessness with no family support, and a history of domestic abuse.

As well as a safe and secure home, HERstay will help young women develop the skills they need to lead independent lives and find long term homes for themselves and their children.

A short video about the project can be viewed here

Weve been busy renovating a property and now need your support to raise £10,000 to achieve our final goal to make the property ready for the first residents to move in by March 2021.

Your support will help us furnish the shared living areas and bedrooms, including buying furniture, appliances and home comforts. Your donations are vital to provide finishing touches to the house and to make HERstay house a home.

By staying at HERstay, the lives, aspirations and futures of vulnerable young women can be changed. They will have had a safe space to gain and practice independent living skills and parenting confidence while building their self-esteem and confidence to recognise the signs of abusive relationships and how to exit from them before they spiral out of control.

Please donate to our HERstay appeal today to help transform a house into a home where young women can recover from domestic abuse and create the life they and their children deserve.
