Since 1950, Guthrie Troy Community Hospital has cared for the needs of the region. In 2013, a new replacement hospital was opened and further enhanced care to the area by offering 25 private rooms, state-of-the-art surgical suites and a procedure room, a 24hour emergency department, and a helipad for urgent transport of critically ill and injured patients.
