Built on that legacy of collaborative clinical research and patient care, the Donald Guthrie Foundation for Medical Research started in 1944, and Guthries Clinical Research program was formally established in 1999.

Guthrie is a non-profit integrated health system located in north-central Pennsylvania and upstate New York, serving patients from a twelve-county service area.
