Story

Change Is Coming ~ Greta Thunberg

Last week, political leaders from around the world gathered for the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

During the conference Greta Thunberg, an inspirational young woman from Sweden, addressed the attendees. Her message was clear, powerful and inspiring. Climate change is happening, if leaders don't take action now then there may not be a future of green forests and blue oceans. If the systems that we have in place today do not allow for these changes, then we need to change the system.

Greta, who is 15 years old, is standing up on behalf of nature. You can watch her speak on this video that was posted by David Fopp at his vimeo page: https://vimeo.com/306081056

We want to show Greta that we hear her call, that she is not alone and that there are women around the world who love our planet and willing to act in planetary care. We want to plant a forest for Greta, giving her the gift of trees.

If we can raise £500 we can plant 1,650 trees for Greta!

We do things differently, integrating respect, equity, collaboration and connection into ecological restoration and conservation. Rather than impact based solely on the number of trees in the ground, our projects improve socioeconomic outcomes and have women, community and Nature at their core.
