Organised by Rise SupportThe community Iftar idea began after the Manchester bombing,the concept behind it was the coming together of communities to learn about Islam. It was also to get a better understanding of each others religion and cultures.
Great Harwood Community Iftar is taking place on 07.05.21. This year we are helping raise money for Rise Support a local charity who is helping people across the world. Once again as a community lets get behind our chosen charity and raise as much money as we possibly can to help Rise Support.
We will be breaking fast together, while respecting current government guidance. We will not be meeting in person, but we are committing to sending circa 500 meals out to our community members homes- so they can still partake in the community iftar feel!
Let us as a community show everyone that Great Harwood is a harmonious and welcoming town which stands together as one community!
