Story
The Great British Garden Party is a major annual event designed to celebrate the importance of everyone's gardens and to raise vital funds for some of the UK's best-loved nursing and health charities supported by the National Garden Scheme.
The National Garden Scheme has been raising funds for charity through great gardens and great cake since 1927, and now we'd love you to join us by hosting a party in your own garden for family and friends and celebrating everything that's good about gardens. Your Great British Garden Party will turn your celebration of gardens into vital support for the charities that have been impacted by the pandemic, and who are still on the frontline protecting us, and our loved-ones, from its effects. Every party, every cake served, every cuppa poured and every garden enjoyed means that your Great British Garden Party is supporting the wonderful work of Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Carers Trust, Parkinson's UK, the Queen's Nursing Institute and Hospice UK.
We're inviting everyone to get involved, it doesn't matter whether your garden is large or small, tidy or untidy its a place for enjoyment. This celebratory event gives us all an opportunity to share our gardens while raising vital funds. Your garden party could be afternoon tea and cakes, prosecco by candlelight, a coffee morning and book swap or even a plant and produce sale by the front gates - the choice is yours.
Join our Great British Garden Party 4th - 12th September (or on a date that suits you best) and turn your joy of gardens into a life-line for those who need it most.
