Story
There is an alarming shortage of safe anaesthesia care available to billions of people worldwide. Anaesthetists are essential to provide specialist support to patients who need access to surgery and intensive care. Unfortunately, like many low and middle-income countries, anaesthetists are in short supply in Zambia, which means that the quality of healthcare provided is put under great strain.
Without action, this problem will only worsen as populations increase.
By pledging your donation, we invite you to take a stand with us for safe surgery. By giving to ZADP this holiday season, you are empowering and supporting Zambian doctors with specialist training and key resources that can be used to benefit patients and leave a lasting impact on the most vulnerable.
The generosity of individuals like you can make a difference in the quality of healthcare in Zambia.
Your donation is not only meaningful to doctors, but it can be lifesaving for patients, their families and their communities.
When you donate to ZADP your money is directed to where it will get the largest return, with a focus on things like education, bursaries and new equipment.
The doctors we support today will go on to provide life-saving treatments and care to hundreds of people in the future.
This is including the treatment of unwell patients (often pregnant women and children) needing surgery and access to intensive care. This impact means that people who at one time may have died due to a lack of access to basic facilities, may now go on to live healthy lives.
We understand that not everyone has the capacity to donate, but perhaps you can share this page with someone who might donate.
Your support makes a real difference!
